Amanda Amanda is 36 and has both a learning and physical disability and lives with her parents on their small farm. Once a month Amanda goes to Family Living providers Anne and Brian for the weekend, and has been doing this for the past two years. They often go on days out and they have a Gateway club in the local area which Amanda enjoys to meet up with her friends. Anne and Brian’s home is a bungalow, which means Amanda can move easily around the house. If Amanda’s parents want a longer break, she will stay with Ann and Brian for a week, but still attends the day centre and college during the week |
