Avalon’s Family Living Service provides support for older people and adults with a physical or learning disability, within a local family home. ‘Family Living Providers’ can be families, couples or single people, offering either long term support or short breaks within their own homes. They are carefully selected, checked and trained, and undergo a rigorous assessment before being approved. Avalon’s existing customers also participate in the approval process.

We work closely with family members to make sure that the needs of the individual are fulfilled. Avalon takes great care to ensure an appropriate and mutually agreeable match with a Family Living Provider.

The service is monitored by the Commission for Social Care Inspection and a qualified member of the Avalon team to ensure high standards are maintained.
